BCEL Reviews 2025 Business Performance and Outlines Strategic Plan for 2026
Banque Pour Le Commerce Exterieur Lao Public (BCEL) held its annual general meeting to summarize the business results of 2025 and establish the strategic plan for 2026. The meeting took place on February 5th - 6th, 2026, at the Ratsavong Hotel in Vientiane Capital. The session was presided over by Mrs. Saysamone Chanthachack, Managing Director of BCEL, along with the Board of Directors, department heads, center directors, and more than 170 participants from branches across the entire system.

The objectives of the meeting were to evaluate BCEL's business operations over the past year and to define the direction for future plans. Additionally, certificates of appreciation were presented to branches that achieved outstanding Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to recognize their operational excellence.
Mrs. Saysamone Chanthachack, Managing Director of BCEL, reported that business operations in 2025 showed improvement in various areas, particularly in financial status, deposits, and loans, all of which increased and surpassed the set targets. Regarding overall performance, the bank achieved profits exceeding the plan and showed significant progress compared to the previous year. These achievements were the result of the immense effort and collective wisdom of all BCEL employees throughout the year.
For 2026, BCEL will focus on sustainable business operations, improving service quality, and building confidence among shareholders and investors. Key priorities include enhancing credit quality for greater efficiency, prioritizing modernization to maintain leadership in Digital Banking, increasing product diversity, strengthening financial foundations, and collaborating with external business partners to increase opportunities while reducing unnecessary expenditures.
The meeting lasted for two full days in an enthusiastic atmosphere and concluded with successful results, demonstrating strong unity and full readiness to collectively push BCEL toward sustainable, robust, and stable growth.
