To provide banking service for Vientiane Capital-Vangvieng Expressway and Ammata Smart and Eco City Project.
On November 27, 2020 at Muong Thanh Luxury Vientiane Hotel, BCEL held a contract signing ceremony on the collaboration between BCEL Bank and Lao-China Joint Expressway Development Company to provide the cash pickup service at the Vientiane Capital-Vangvieng Expressway.
Vientiane Capital-Vangvieng Expressway is the phase 1 expressway construction project, which has 109 kilometers length from Naxaythong District, Vientiane Capital to Vangvieng District in Vientiane Province. It has 23 meters width, 4 lanes, 2 opposing directions, 1 tunnel at Phu Pha, 34 bridges including 3 bridges crossing Route 13 North, 4 bridges crossing railway and 23 bridges crossing villages roads. There are also 7 enter-exit spots as at Ban Sikeut, Ban Nasone, Ban Boua, Ban Saka, Ban Phonhong, Ban Hinheub and Vangvieng. Preliminary, BCEL will be providing cash transport service around the project.
Mr. Phoukhong Chanthachack, the General Managing Director represented BCEL Bank and Mr. Yong Kua, the Chairman of Lao-China Joint Expressway Development Company represented their respective companies in this signing ceremony. The ceremony was witnessed and participated by Mr. Bounleua Sinxayvoravong, the Vice Minister of Finance and the Chairman of BCEL’s Board of Directors, Mrs. Lammone Simmalaivong, Deputy Director General of Payment Systems Department of the Bank of Lao PDR, Mr. Nanthalath Keopaseuth, Deputy Managing Director of BCEL Bank, Mr. Luan Jing, Deputy Director of ICBC Bank, along with the staff of 2 parties and mass media.
On the same day, there was also a signing ceremony of MOU on delivering banking services for the project of Amata Smart & Eco City between BCEL Bank and Amata City Lao Sole Company Limited. Amata Smart & Eco City is one of many mega projects of Amata Group, it is an important project for city planning along the Laos-China railway, especially making Oudomxay and Luangnamtha provinces become Economic zone, promoting the investments both domestic and foreign, contributing to the socio-economic development;
