Privileges & Usage
  • BCEL Co-Brand Credit Cards are also known as UnionPay Credit Card under the cooperation between BCEL and Lao Airlines and UnionPay. There are 3 card products including 1. BCEL Co-Brand Platinum and 2.BCEL Co-Brand Gold Sky which has 2 options: insured and uninsured, and 3.BCEL Co-Brand Silver Cloud. Each card type has different privileges and usage as follows:

Credit Limit
  • Credit limits:
  1. BCEL Co-Brand Platinum          30.001 USD and above
  2. BCEL Co-Brand Gold Sky         10.001 – 30.000 USD
  3. BCEL Co-Brand Silver Cloud    300 – 10.000 USD

 
  • According to BCEL’s regulation, each card has cash withdrawal and payment limit per transaction per day. Detailed table of withdrawal limit, payment and usage instruction is described in the terms and conditions given by BCEL as a reference. Therefore, customers should read and review terms and conditions carefully for proper understanding and smooth usage.
    • Credit limit or other the credit card limit can be linked together such as BCEL Visa Credit or BCEL JCB Credit. The linked credit limit will give you more privileges and benefits from various card products.
    • Can be used for cash withdrawal at ATM, products and services payment at the shops or/and websites with UnionPay’s logo domestically and globally.
    • To get discounts from BCEL’s partnership stores and participating shops.
    • You can check transactions and control card usage via BCEL ONE application, which makes your credit card usage more secured and easy.

Benefits

Free travel insurance (Only for Co-Brand Platinum and Co-Brand Gold Sky Cards inclusive of insurance)

  • Insurance covers accidents along the way of the trip up to 85.000 USD and emergency medical service coverage up to 100.000 USD, lost and damaged baggage coverage up to 1.500 USD and other necessary coverage during the trip. Terms of coverage up to 90 days/multi-trip/year. Detail is described in the certificate of insurance or the certificate of insurance sent to the customer’s email.
  • Conditions:
    • Insured person: cardholder, cardholder’s spouse, and cardholder’s child (children) or companion(s) (3 in maximum). The main condition is that cardholder must be in the same trip.
    • The coverage will be effective from the beginning of the customer’s journey (out of Laos), global coverage.
    • Cardholder shall age not more than 75 years old.
    • Cardholder shall pay at least 50% of the travel expenses (flight tickets, tour, and accommodation) via Co-Brand card, in order to get a travel insurance.
    • This travel insurance is provided by CRAWFORD VIETNAM COMPANY LIMITED. In case of requesting the coverage as described in the certificate of insurance, the cardholder shall directly contact CRAWFORD VIETNAM by calling (+84) 8382-19199 (09:00 – 17:00) or email nguyenbinh@crawco.com.vn for none business hour requesting for an inquiry form. The Customer needs to fill and submit the form within 28 days together with required documents. The Customer needs to keep receipts, proofs or official reports, air tickets, card slips, and other necessary proofs.

a. Special offer from Lao Airlines (Exclusive for flying with Lao Airlines)

Co-Brand Platinum Card
  • Use as a member card to collect travelling mileages for rewards redemption.
  • Access VIP lounge (Only VIP lounge at destination airport in Lao Airlines’ network and the card holder shall inform Lao Airlines’ staff at the check-in point for using VIP lounge).
  • Collect mileages for redeeming an air ticket with Lao Airlines and upgrading to Business Class (Shall inform Lao Airlines’ staff 24 hours prior the departure).
  • Collect mileages for redeeming an air ticket for the cardholder, or as a gift for family or friends.
  • Check-in at Business Class check-in counter.
  • 15 Kg excess baggage allowance. This privilege is not eligible for code share flights.
  • A privilege for boarding the airplane before boarding time.
  • Buying an air ticket at the sale room without queuing,
  • Get 35% discount of hotel room at Meuang Thong Hotel, Luangprabang.
  • Collect 5% of collected mileage points from every single flight both domestic and international.
  • *Remarks: Co-Brand Platinum cardholder shall fly 18,000 miles within the year to maintain platinum membership with Lao Airlines for the next year.

Co-Brand Gold Sky Card
  • Use as a member card to collect mileages for rewards redemption.
  • Access VIP lounge (Only VIP lounge at destination airport in Lao Airlines’ network and the cardholder shall inform Lao Airlines’ staff at the check-in point for using VIP lounge).
  • Collect mileages for redeeming an air ticket with Lao Airlines and upgrading to Business Class (The cardholder shall inform Lao Airlines’ staff 24 hours prior the departure).
  • Collect mileages for redeeming an air ticket for the cardholder, or as a gift for family or friends.
  • Get 35% discount of hotel room at Meuang Thong Hotel, Luangprabang.
  • Check-in at Business Class check-in counter.
  • 10 Kg excess baggage allowance. This privilege is not eligible for code share flights.
  • A privilege for boarding the airplane before boarding time.
  • Buying an air ticket at sale room without queuing,
  • *Remarks: Co-Brand Gold Sky cardholder shall fly 10,000 miles within the year to maintain membership with Lao Airlines for the next year.

Co-brand Silver Cloud Card
  • Use as a member card to collect mileages for rewards redemption.
  • Collect mileages for redeeming air tickets for cardholder, or as a gift for family or friends.
  • Get 35% discount of hotel room at Meuang Thong Hotel, Luangprabang.
  • Remarks: Co-Brand Silver Cloud cardholder shall fly once a year to maintain membership with Lao Airlines for the next year.
  • Important: The customer shall either claim the privilege from either a membership card with Lao Airlines or a Co-Brand card, in case the customer has both cards. The customer is not eligible to claim double privileges from both cards.

 

Exclusive DragonPass VIP lounge (Co-Brand Platinum card only)

  • This privilege is only for Co-Brand Platinum cardholder. The cardholder will be able to access to DragonPass VIP lounge at any airports in DragonPass network 2 times/year.
  • It is a virtual card which customers need to download DragonPass application and login with provided membership card number and password. Follow these steps to use DragonPass’s app:
  1. Download DragonPass’s app via QR code

  1. Or download “DragonPass” app on App Store or Play Store

 

  1. Open DragonPass app and login by putting membership card number and password provided by Card Center via SMS

  1. Tab “Show my card number” when customer wants to get access to VIP lounge

  1. The app will show the details of card with QR code and the receptionist will scan to get information before the customer enters to VIP lounge.

 

Moreover, customer can find another VIP lounge located in the transit airport using DragonPass app.
